Durga Pujo 2017 – Let the Celebrations begin with Inaayat Jewels!

The day 1 of Durga Pujo festivities started in full force today! And if anyone in my entire khandan is enjoying this to the fullest, it has to be my sister! 😀 She recently moved to the sweet city and is completely soaking its rich Bengali culture, food, festivities (and crazy humidity)! 😛

She has been religiously following the 9 days – 9 colors of Navratri (check out our Instagram page for all her outfits) and is now all set to celebrate Durga Pujo in the ‘City of Joy’ for the next five days. She visited the beautiful pandals and hogged some yummy Bengali food, but her favorite part out of all – dressing up!

Bengali women have an amazing sense of style when it comes to wearing Indian sarees, big bindis and heavily accessorizing it.  Their vibrant avatar during the festive season is so mesmerizing to the eyes! ❤

So to play around with this sense of dressing up, we collaborated with Inaayat Jewels!

We sourced a few of their fresh pieces for few days and my sister got to try them with her favorite outfits for this occasion.

The “Jhumkis” আবেশ (Obsession)

The chunky pair of oxidized jhumkis from Inaayat are a must have for this festive season! Just a pair of these earrings is enough to add all the volume to your attire. And imagine pairing it up with ooxidized bangles and neckpiece – *whistle whistle*! 😀 ❤

The সুন্দর Neckpiece! (Beautiful)

As I said, this festival calls for “heavy accessories” and there is no better way than getting an Inaayat set. My sister decided to pair up her set of matching earrings and neckpiece with a basic (but a bright) pink kurti and a matching bindi!

The way my sister has described the rough weather in Kolkata, keep your clothing comfortable and let your accessories take over. My sister is wearing a basic kurta with printed and light palazzos. You can also try the same with cotton and linen pants.

Totally crushing on this clustered neckpiece! ❤ It can single-handedly break the monotony of an entirely black outfit (that too collared up)! :O This will go really well with V-neck kurtis, chikankari suits and pastel dresses as well!

Try it out and let us know your favourite avatar with this neckpiece! 😉

So that was our handful of Inaayat Jewels! We spoke with the creator of this beautiful brand – Simran and her words were truly motivating –

All our products are 100% antique & handcrafted and made step by step with a mindful and focused vision of our artisans. Our products are inspired by the different tribal communities of the world, taking the essence of their legacy and culture in every piece, most of our products have been made by the tribal community themselves and to maintain the ethnicity of the products, they haven’t been re-done or re-worked on in any way.

All we can say is – keep up the awesome work Simran and team! My sister has been crushing on your jewellery collection for the longest time and it was truly our pleasure to get to try your beautiful work! ❤ 🙂 Thank you for the opportunity!

As for our খুশি (happy) readers –

Eat. Pray. Love. (quite literally :P) Wishing all of you a very happy Durga Puja.
