Mrinmayee – Born from the Earth

This time for our blog, we have something really amazing in store for our readers!!! The love and the jewellery has travelled all the way from Ireland! Mrinmayee – Born from the Earth is a one stop shop for earthy, rustic, bold, chic and ethnic yet trendy necklaces and earrings! The soul of this brand is Subhadra Lakshmanan, who has been a curator for more than 20 yeas now and its this passion which led her to become a jewellery designer.

When asked about her brand idea, she said “My paternal grandmother was a lady way ahead of her times and was one who believed that life is full of experiments. She always wanted me totry new things and when I was 8 she bought me my first pair of alloyed silver earrings. I developed immense interest in slowly collecting one-of-a-kind earrings and bangles. I got particularly drawn to silver due to its neutral effect on any kind of attire. It just seemed to match every dress I wore, immaterial of the colour, pattern or texture. Thus started my passion for everything silver. I had always noticed the brilliance of gemstones in gold jewellery but felt they needed a better companion to stand-out. What more, when I started collecting semi-precious gemstone jewellery that had been paired with silver I discovered the possibilities and varieties were endless!

Its next level happiness to wear jewellery pieces made with such precision and obviously the luxurious blend to it makes it all the more special! When we received the parcel, we couldn’t be more thrilled to check out the three neck pieces that we chose for our blog! And the best part about these accessories – it can brighten up any occasion and an attire without much efforts.

Look 1 – A little splash of Black

Bright coloured kurtas can be mellowed down with dark shades of jackets and darker accessories. Here, my sister has paired up her pink kurti with a black linen half jacket and chudidar. Thanks to the neckpiece, it adds the much needed contrast that the outfit requires.

Look 2 – Shades of blue for those subtle shades

How simple yet stylish could this set of formals get? White and grey with a tinge of blue can be anyone’s favourite! That’s the best part of wearing pastels. You can pair them up with contrasting shades of jewellery.

Look 3 – Blend it in!

As much as contrast is in fashion, so is matching the colours! This neckpiece is good to go on all sorts of attires and a perfect eye catcher for day time plans as well as the high end dinner plans! 😉

After a very long time, my sister got to experiment with her looks in terms of accessorising and Mrinmayee just fits in perfectly! Even though they are made of semi precious stones and gems the weight is surprisingly less! The price range fits everyone’s pocket and also we looooooooooved the number of options! ❤ 🙂
