Indigo, the only shining shade of blue till the 20th century is still the king of blues for its majestic color and quality that can withstand time. When blended with cotton or khadi, you can drape yourself in it and look your best!
Well when it comes to Indigo, my sister and I are both bound to go all gaga over it! Be it the labels or the streets, we have managed to collect a variety of indigo Kurtis, tops and bottoms to make our wardrobe a happier place!
Over the past two weeks we have managed to dig out a good chunk of our Indigo collection! Here are a few of the favorites-
Look 1: Basic it is!
The first look- basic and cool.
An indigo Fabinida kurti and white patiyala salwar with a tinge of oxidized silver jewellery is the most effortless way for a pretty desi look!
Kurti : Fabindia
Salwar : 1469 ( http://1469workshop.com/)
Accesories : (Oxidized Silver) Jhumkas & Ring – Colaba Causeway
Bangle Bracelet – Linking Road, Bandra
Paayal – Kaarigar, Vashi
Footwear : Mojri (from an Exhibition)
Look 2: With a splash of colors!
Blue is a perfect color to get an amazing contrast. Green and red borders with an indigo base, is the best vibrant look one can pull off!
Kurti : from an exhibition
Chudidar : Go Colors
Accessories : Earrings from Colaba Causeway
Footwear: Kolhapuri Chappals (from the streets of Kolhapur)
Look 3 : On a different tangent!
I once remember, trying out this top and wondering if I’d ever be able to wear it. Even when my sis tried convincing me, I rejected the thought with a “Naah!”. So she went ahead happily and bought it! And then the next evening, I see her wearing it with denims and a bright stole for a casual outing.
Attire: FabIndia and Classic Blue Denims!
Accessories: Ear Cuffs – Times Ethnic Exhibition
Stole – FabIndia
Footwear : Kolhapuris (from the streets of Kolhapur)
So here’s the best part; a single shade of blue and multiple ways to wear it.
Well this pretty lady managed to pair it up quite well for her daily wear collection, and I am surely trying to pull that look with all the Indigo dyed kurtis I have!
After all that’s what I look upto! Right?! 😉
Why fabindia shopping so much?
